The Intelligentsia brew class is the perfect entry into the world of specialty coffee. Participants will learn from an expert barista to begin the journey of mastering coffee preparation. But what about the coffee grounds that normally go to waste? We’ve got you covered.

Following the brew class, join us as we teach you how to give new life to your coffee grounds and turn them into exfoliating skincare products!

Large Batch Cold Brew Recipe

Things you will Need

  • 5 lbs. of coffee beans
  • 3.5 gallons of water

Cold Brew Coffee Equipment

Grind your coffee beans they should be Your ground beans should be chunky.

Next place your coffee grounds in a 22 quart container add 3.5 gallons of water and stir. Let set for about 18 hours.

Now it is time to pour your mixer into another container while using the cheese cloth to strain it. You may want to strain it twice. Now refrigerate and enjoy with your favorite cold brew blend.

French Press Coffee


  • French press
  • Coffee grinder
  • Kitchen scale


  • 3.5 ounces coffee preferably whole bean
  • 24 ounces cool or room temperature not cold water


  • Weigh 100 g (approx. 3.5 ounces) of coffee.
  • Weigh 700 g (approx. 24 ounces) of water. Add the coffee to the French press. Next add the water.
  • Stir. Let set for 3 min.
  • Press the plunger on the French press down pour and enjoy.
